Two British men have been arrested on the Greek island of Kos after a 27-year-old accused one of them of raping her while the other watched.

The German woman filed a rape complaint against the 22-year-old Briton and his 23-year-old friend.

The pair were arrested after the woman alleged she was attacked in the hotel where she was staying.

She told police she had drunk a ‘large amount of alcohol’ and then went to a hotel room with the 22-year-old, according to local news outlet Dimokratiki

She says she suddenly gained consciousness while he was having sex with him and tried to stop him.

The alleged victim says his friend was in the same room watching on.

The German woman eventually left the room and filed a complaint with officers.

The case comes after a British woman was allegedly gang-raped by a group of Belgian men at a hotel in a seaside resort on the neighbouring Greek island of Rhodes.

The 31-year-old Briton claimed that she and her friends had met the group of up to eight Belgians at a nightclub in the seaside resort of Faliraki in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The alleged victim said the group of between five and eight Belgian men, believed to be aged between 30 and 35 years old, then took her and her friends back to their hotel room in Faliraki.

The Briton told police she had consensual sex with one of the Belgian men on the hotel balcony and inside a room, reports local newspaper Dimokratiki

She said that her friends had left during that period of time.

The 31-year-old claimed that the group of men then attacked her and gang-raped her.

The woman told police she fled the hotel and took a taxi back to the hotel where she was staying.
