Queen Elizabeth’s funeral will be a public holiday

In the UK, the day of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will be a public holiday.

According to European Pravda, this was reported during the Council of Succession, after which Charles III was officially proclaimed King of Great Britain.

The King, in particular, approved the order that the day of the Queen’s funeral will be a holiday in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The date of the funeral has not yet been confirmed. As noted by Sky News, it is expected that this will be September 19th.

Recall that on September 10, a historic ceremony of proclaiming the new king of Great Britain took place at St. James’s Palace in London.

As you know, on September 8, at the age of 96, Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain died at the Scottish castle of Balmoral. In Great Britain, as well as in all countries of the Commonwealth of Nations, a ten-day mourning began.
