One of Bill Clinton’s former special advisers who helped cement his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein has passed away at age 59, becoming the former president’s latest aide to die young.

Mark Middleton’s family said he passed away on Saturday in a statement that did not reveal the cause of death.

The father of two lived in Little Rock, Arkansas, and local police and the county coroner told DailyMail.com they were neither investigating nor responding to the death.

The Middleton family did not respond to requests for comment.

Middleton ran an air-conditioning company in Little Rock for decades, but in the 1990s he was Clinton’s special adviser and chief financial officer during his presidential campaign.

During that time, Middleton Epstein admitted to the Clinton White House on seven of at least 17 visits by the late pedophile.

Middleton also flew on Epstein’s plane and appears to have acted as a conduit between the two men.

DailyMail.com has previously reported on how Epstein’s entry into the Clinton White House gave him access to a world of influence that he would cultivate for the rest of his life and use it to impress and threaten underage girls he abused.

Middleton’s death was announced in a Facebook post – now deleted – to the family’s air conditioning company, Middleton Heat & Air.

According to a report in Arkansas Business, the company was one of the largest HVAC providers in the state.

The post said: ‘The Middleton family are saddened to share that Mark Middleton passed away this weekend.

“The Middleton family has lost an inspiring and devoted leader, as well as a son, brother, husband and father. Mark leaves behind a business that he and his family have helped build from the beginning and have proudly led for the past 25 years.

“No words can express our sadness at this loss or our gratitude for your support and prayers during this time.”

Middleton was also a managing partner of the investment firm MidCorp Capital, an investment firm, and worked for a handful of nonprofit foundations.

The only possible clue to a possible cause was a request in Middleton’s obituary that, in lieu of flowers, benefactors donate to a counseling and therapy service affiliated with New Life Church, which is based in Arkansas.

A spokesman for the Little Rock Police Department said they had not investigated the death.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said they had not responded to Middleton’s death, and neither did the coroner, according to an office employee reached by DailyMail.com.

Middleton’s life in recent years has been a world away from the power he enjoyed in the 1990s.

White House visitor logs previously reported by DailyMail.com indicated that he acts as the authorizing authority on seven of Epstein’s visits to the White House, most of them to the West Wing.

Middleton was not only a Special Assistant to the President, but also Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Thomas “Mack” McLarty,

Middleton left the White House in February 1995 and was accused of setting himself up as an international dealmaker, exactly the kind of person Epstein would appeal to.

In 1996, a White House investigation found that Middleton had misused his access to impress corporate clients and he was barred from the executive mansion without higher authority approval.

Middleton denied the claims.

A source has told DailyMail.com that some of Middleton’s meetings with Epstein took place in room 176, which was located in the old Executive Office building, not the White House.

The source said Middleton requested a meeting room next to the White House mess, which was in the West Wing, so he could impress his guests with his proximity to the Oval Office.

The source said: “Mark was trying to make himself look bigger than he was. He tried to pretend he had more power than he did in the White House.

“Mark knew Epstein was managing Les Wexner’s money,” referring to the billionaire founder of L Brands and Victoria’s Secret.

The source continued: “In the year 1994 there was a midterm election, Clinton needed money and Mark thought he could get some of Wexner’s money.

“Mark wanted to set himself up as the man who could bring in those kinds of big donors,” said the source.

Several former Clinton associates have died under unexpected circumstances over the years, leading to the conspiracy theory known as Clinton Body Count.

After Epstein hanged himself pending trial in 2019, Donald Trump retweeted conspiracy theories that Clinton was involved.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch. Sign was found dead in his home in 2021.
